After losing to Ballandean the previous week, Tenterfield were keen to reverse the scoreline.
Both teams struggled to control the ball early but Ballandean kept the passes on the ground more consistently.
An early injury to midfielder Courtney Moss seemed to rattle the home side and Ballandean took the advantage.
A goal in the seventh minute was scored when Rochelle Reardon had a solid shot on target that just slipped through Ellen Counter's gloves.
Ballandean managed to hold a one-nil lead going into the break.
The second half saw more physical contact with some heavy tackles and pushing from behind.
The referee found his cards and both teams received cautions.
Ballandean made the most of the wind and played some fast breaks out wide. Sarah Day added to the visitor's tally after finding plenty of space in the middle.
The Thunder fought hard in the last ten minutes with Sam Chapman having some shots from the right side.
Ballandean won the day 2-0 and now move into the Grand Final.
Tenterfield will face Stanthorpe United at CF White Oval on Saturday.
We hope to see all supporters get behind the Thunder Ladies team.
