The annual KidzFix Rally, this year travelling from Ballina to Dubbo via Lightning Ridge, raises money for the Western Area Health Service.
“The KidzFix Foundation brings a new meaning to supporting kids by contributing to important community projects across kids health and wellbeing,” said David Ward, director of KidzFix.
“People come from as far as Gympie, QLD to Dubbo, NSW and Numurkah, VIC to help a cause they care deeply about and make a much better life for sick and disadvantaged Aussie kids.”
This year there were 24 cars in the group carrying 52 people and the first overnight stop after departure on Saturday, September 9 was in Tenterfield.
“We all had a fantastic time on rally and it so exciting to deliver our en route projects to so many regional areas,” said event manager Heidi Jephtha.
“We arrived in Tenterfield around 4 pm and had dinner at the School of the Arts which was catered for by the Courtyard Cafe. Then, after a good night’s sleep, we were joined by the Northern Rivers Vintage Veteran Car Club for breakfast at the Tenterfield Railway Museum. When we left Tenterfield, we went on to Texas for lunch.”
The rally ended in Dubbo Showground for the Camping, 4WD Show on September 16.
