Association president Keven Mooney said the competition had been going for 25 years in Tenterfield and he expected another strong sign up for the summer season which runs from October through to March 2018.
“Last season we had seventy juniors signed up and one hundred seniors,” Mr Mooney said.
“There’s no reason not to expect similar numbers again this year.”
Mr Mooney said the association will hold its annual general meeting next Tuesday, October 10, at the Telegraph Hotel.
“The meeting will start at 7 pm, and we are always looking for new members to join the committee,” he said.
“There is not a lot to organise it is mainly marking the lines on the field. We catch up at the games and only meet formally once at the start of the season and then once at the end.”
