Tenterfield Shire Council not associated with company canvassing residents

High-visibility kerb numbering is a bonus when ambulance or other emergency services are trying to find you, so council is supportive of the measure.

Tenterfield Shire Council is making is clear, though, that such numbering is not a requirement after receiving numerous inquires from residents as a  private company canvasses the residential streets of Tenterfield to paint these high visibility street numbers on the kerb.

”Approval has been given by Council for this to occur, however this is not a Council requirement and the company is not in any way associated with Council,” Tenterfield Shire Council advised.

“It should be noted however, that an easy to read property number is of great assistance to Ambulance Officers or other Emergency Services, particularly if they need to find your home late at night or in inclement conditions, etc.”
