After 12 rounds, the XI Ducks have finally recorded their first loss of the season to the Short Fuses on Thursday night. The under strength Ducks team ended up all out for 119 while the Fuses were 4/134.

Jayson Murphy and Ben Austin were the big hitters in the second innings with 35 and 26 runs respectively.

Scott Bates also backed up in the second innings bowling 3/14.

Wednesday night the KLAS Bouncers beat the Telegraph Slammers 4/79 to 9/76. The Slammers opened the batting with Nathan Duncan hitting 20 runs.

Tyler Sargeant had a brilliant spell bowling 3/9. Standout player for the Bouncers was Pat Skinner who fielded three catches, bowled 1/6 and also hit 22 runs in the second innings. Mick Parker also backed up the batting scoring 24 runs. Dave Reynolds and Jordan Swan bowled well for the Slammers both taking one wicket and conceding only three runs.

Our annual Pink Stumps cricket match is coming up at Shirley Park on Friday February 16. There will be a seniors 20/20 game, a kids five-over match in the innings break, and a high tea for the ladies. Come and join us for a good night as we raise much needed funds for the McGrath Foundation.
