Keely Mooney was named the winner of the 50th Tenterfield Showgirl Competition on Friday evening.
It was a milestone event this year, marking half a century since Janelle Hollis was the first Miss Showgirl back in 1968.
Many have followed her high heels and worn the sash with pride representing the Tenterfield Show Society and the district in general, not least of all at zone judging.
Nineteen-year-old Keely is a student learning support officer at The Sir Henry Parkes Memorial Public School.
Representatives from major sponsor, Regional Australia Bank, were on hand to present Keely with her prize.

Another highlight of this year’s show has been the Australian National Chainsaw Racing Titles and the big State of Origin clash which was held in the main ring in front of the grandstand on Friday night.
