The Bouncers headed into the decider after a tight victory over the Tenterfield Tavern side on Wednesday.
As was the case with the competition all season, the final came down to the wire with both teams hard to split until late in the match.
Batting first, the Ducks smashed 130 runs in their 20 overs with Ben Austin piling on 35 runs, Mitch Austin 19 and Dylan Turner 16.
In reply, the Bouncers fought back but fell short and were dismissed in the final over to miss out on chasing down their opponents’ total by 23 runs.
Austin and Dylan Horn earned player’s player for the game.
“We would like to thank the Commonwealth Bank girls (Debbie, Megan, Jess and Cass) for putting on the bbq for us and raising funds for the club,” Tenterfield District Cricket posted on their Facebook page.
“We would also like to thank all the spectators for coming to watch and cheer both teams on, it was great to hear the cheers and car horns blaring when wickets were taken or sixes smashed.
“Thank you to the players for putting on a brilliant game that kept everyone on the edge of their seats until the end. Also a big thanks to Caleb for offering to score the match for us. Finally we’d like to thank the umpires for their efforts last night in what was a cold and rainy game.”
The Tenterfield Association will host their end of season presentation on March 24.
