Ever-keen to provide some variety to residents’ days, activities officer Michelle McBurney and partner-in-crime Vicky Skinner donned Mickey and Minnie Mouse costumes (respectively) for a laugh.
“It gave the residents a chance to revisit their childhood,” Ms McBurney said.

Before too long Micky lost his head (“it gets hot in there”) and instead found a microphone to lead the musically-inclined in a spot of karaoke.
Familiar tunes were the order of the day, with Slim Dusty and John Denver among others getting a run.
The effort was such a success that Ms McBurney anticipates some more character-themed events in the future, with Donald Duck possibly making an appearance next time. She is just pondering how to reproduce Donald’s characteristic quack.
