Haddington residents and staff and the National Party’s Lismore electorate pre-selected candidate Austin Curtin joined with friends from the community to enjoy music, food and wine, all with an Italian theme.

Gold Coast opera singers Neil Large and Joanna Dorrich entertained the audience in a 45-minute performance. They were followed by a group sing-a-long, and with Dom and Lucia de Bortoli from Texas continuing to entertain.
Mr Curtin handed out certificates of congratulations to residents of Italian descent (Spencer Spinaze and Emilia Sattalo) with Kath Poless being acknowledged for having the good sense to marry an Italian.
Special mention was made of Mr Spinaze’s knighthood from the Republic of Italy for his services to the Italian community of Australia.
