Activities director Michelle McBurney said Troppo Bob and his entourage were on a tour that took them through Tenterfield and they offered their services. The Troppo Magic show is designed specifically for aged care centres so it fit the bill, particularly with lots of audience participation.
Troppo Bob was ably assisted by Andy Kerr, Bob Smith, Judy Murphy, Joyce Butler and Margaret Condrick in his conjuring, creating lots of laughs.

Ms McBurney said residents were impressed by the performance.
“They enjoyed it, and are still talking about it days later.”
There was a running repertoire of jokes, some of which she caught before they went over her head.
“He had a very dry sense of humour.”
Ms McBurney said if any local groups or individuals have a talent and are happy to take centre stage to entertain the residents, she’s happy to accomodate them. She and the residents go to a great deal of effort to decorate the place to set the stage for such occasions, and residents’ birthdays are always celebrated.
Even people happy to read from a book to residents unable to do so would be greatly appreciated, as would those able to spend some one-on-one time with a specific resident on a regular basis in order to build a friendship.
