Out and About in Tenterfield

After a bit of rain to settle the dust, Tenterfield was sparkling in the winter sun as locals and travellers alike enjoyed eateries and parks around town over the weekend.

Winter crops around the district that survived the big dry so far received a much-needed drink with 38 millimetres of rain falling into the official gauge at Federation Park on July 2, although much larger readings were taken elsewhere in the shire.

After a few drizzly days the weather has reverted to frosty mornings making way for brilliantly-sunny days, enjoyed by those like the ones on the photo gallery who venture far enough away from the heater.

More drizzle is expected mid-week before the skies clear again for another brilliant Tenterfield weekend, so get out and about and enjoy winter in the highlands.
