The New Zealanders landed in Australia in 1980, making Tenterfield their home in 1987. They produced two daughters and a son who all attended The Sir Henry Parkes Memorial Public School and Tenterfield High School.
At various times they ran a health food shop in town, had a horse trekking business and operated vineyards. They now run Boer goats on a 1600 acre plot on Mt Mackenzie.

“It was about time.”
Mayor Peter Petty occasionally has the honour of welcoming new citizens to the fold, either at Australia Day ceremonies each January 26 or as part of a regular council gathering, as in this case.
