The fully-loaded truck failed to navigate the turn heading south onto the New England Highway from its depot in the industrial estate, crashing into the light pole but managing to leave the highway clear.
Police, Fire & Rescue and Ambulance crews attended, as did Essential Energy to secure the area. Live wires were exposed when the pole came down, but there were no reports of power outages.
The driver was transported to Tenterfield Hospital but has reportedly escaped with minor cuts and abrasions.
