Local paramedics and the rescue service’s critical care medical team treated the 70-year-old for her injuries.
She was transported to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The mission is the latest in a string of visits to the shire by the rescue service.
A crew flew from the service’s Tamworth base to Tenterfield on Monday, July 16 to retrieve a 78-year-old woman with a medical condition. The patient was flown to Tamworth Hospital for further treatment.
Earlier this month and again west of town, the chopper was called out late Sunday, July 8 to attend a 70-year-old found trapped under a quad bike on a remote rural property. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter landed within 100 metres of the scene of the quad bike rollover before the critical medical team treated the patient for multiple injuries.
He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
