The band’s repertoire is billed as a fusion of traditional Celtic music (particularly Irish music) and modern Australian song and rock. The group of fronted by songwriter Mark Cryle of Murphy’s Dog fame, and the lineup has some well-known artists on its resume.
While Mick Nolan (Pop Properly; Eureka) shares the vocal duties with Mark, Hugh Curtis (Troy Cassar-Daley; Lee Kernaghan; Beccy Cole) is one of Australia’s most in demand fiddle and mandolin players.
Rose Broe (Pirate Brides; Shebeen) is another veteran of the Queensland folk music scene while Suzanne Hibbs (Peter Cupples; Sadie & Jay) lays down the grooves,
“I’ve always dreamed of having a band like this and now it’s my dream come true,” Cryle said.
It was a dream come true for the hotel patrons as well, finding the afternoon’s entertainment a wonderful diversion.
