On Monday, police said investigations were continuing and a report would be prepared for the coroner.
The crash happened only hours after an earlier fatal accident at Glencoe, near Glen Innes.

The hatchback hit a ditch and collided with a tree.
A 26-year-old passenger, also from Narrabri, was rescued from the car and airlifted to Tamworth hospital in a serious condition with multiple injuries including his back.
