Mr Ebern joined the Tenterfield crew just a few months after the business opened, and has seen it move from being a retailer to a health services provider.
“It’s all about preventative health,” he said.
The pharmacy has evolved more into a health destination rather than just somewhere to get prescriptions filled, supporting clients to maximise their good health to prevent the need for more aggressive treatment.
It’s the place for blood pressure tests and blood sugar monitoring, plus a wealth of advice on health matters.
For its birthday week the pharmacy is shining a light on the services it offers year-round, to raise community awareness of what is available.
On Monday it’s the aforementioned blood pressure and diabetes checks, Tuesday has in-store tastings of weight-loss products, Wednesday is all about allergies and on Thursday Mr Ebern is offering meds checks answering any questions about the medication regime people are on.
Friday’s focus is cosmetics, and winners of the six hampers on offer will be announced at 2pm.
Mr Ebern encourages the pharmacy’s clients to check in regularly to receive advice on any health matters, to build up a rapport with staff.
“We want to create a nice pleasant atmosphere to talk about any health problems,” he said.
