It starts off in Brisbane before taking in Toowoomba and overnighting in Tenterfield before proceeding through to Melbourne, back to Canberra and arriving in Sydney for the start of the Invictus Games on October 20.
The convoy will be setting up at the Tenterfield showground on Tuesday afternoon and everyone is welcome to come along, see the spectacle and chat about post traumatic stress with psychologists, job creation services, first responders and veterans including Stand Tall 4 PTS founder Tony Dell (veteran, former Australian cricketer and PTSD spokesperson).
And of course, the kids can climb on and into the firetruck.
Organisers say PTS is probably the least understood and least funded of the major illnesses.
“Our military and first responders are the most at risk. These brave men and women contract this illness in the service of their country and their fellow Australians. They deserve our help.
“This convoy and the partnership with the Invictus Games are designed to do just that.”
