Tenterfield Calling – Local Phone Numbers for the Locals (formerly the Quota phone book) is ready for sale. To be among the first to get your hands on a copy get along to the Tenterfield Eisteddfod Committee’s street stall on Thursday, October 25 in Rouse Street in front of the Benevolent Society from 8.30am. (While you’re there stock up on homebaking, raffle tickets and all the other stall attractions.)
Then from Friday the book will be available from Sullivan’s Newsagency, Tenterfield Hardware and Gifts, Sherelle’s, Tenterfield Post Office, Jennings & Kneipp and the Tenterfield Visitor Information Centre.
The committee is also organising an outlet in Deepwater and would love to make the book available through local real estate agents to newcomers as part of a welcome pack.
It’s a bargain at $10 and has more business entries and 80+ advertisers (including a handy index to them at the back), updated numbers as many people move from landlines to mobiles, and now covers the entire shire while dipping across the border into Wallangarra and Deepwater.
There’s an updated list of Justices of the Peace at the front, along with emergency numbers and space for your own quick access contacts. There’s more space at the back to add a personalised list.
Importantly there’s also a form on which to submit updated details for the next edition, slated for 2021.
The new glossy format is ‘perfect-bound’ promising harder wearing, and the cover design is by Made Em Look Design courtesy of Emma Mear.
