St Mary's Catholic Parish will hold a garage sale and bring and buy sale at St Mary's Hall and Church grounds, starting at 8am. Besides the garage sale, there will be a cake stall, plants, second-hand books for re-homing, and delicious home-made hot spring rolls and a wood raffle. In fact, something for everyone. Join the game of bingo at Mallanganee Memorial Hall, with morning tea and a light lunch, from 9am until 2pm - with heads down at 10am. The cost to play bingo is $10.

WOODENBONG FIRIES FUN DAY
The Woodenbong Golf Club Firies Fun Day will feature golf, monster raffles, Melbourne Cup Calcutta. Golf club times – 9.30am, barbecue 11am. Have a bash, three-person ambrose, buy a horse in the Calcutta, try your luck in the monster raffle. Proceeds from the Woodenbong Firies Fun Day will go to Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Woodenbong Rural Fire Brigade. Enquiries: 6635 1294 or 0427 955 744. Free entry.

REMEMBRANCE DAY CENTENARY
The Amiens Legacy Centre has been formed to save the history and artefacts of the Pikedale Soldier Settlement opened in 1920 to provide work and homes for returned soldiers. It will open on Sunday, November 11, with events starting at 10.30am. A 1909 railway carriage has been refurbished to become the ALC Information Centre. The children from Amiens State School will re-enact the signing of the truce in 1918 at this event. Free tours of the Amiens township, Armistice Way, St Denys will take pace in the afternoon. Too much local history to be lost.
