The Remembrance Day ceremony at Tenterfield Memorial Hall will have a special significance this year as we mark the centenary of the signing of the Armistice which brought WW1 to its conclusion.

The ceremony will start at 10.30am on Sunday, November 11 on the forecourt. There will be several readings by Tenterfield High School captains, and Salvation Army officers will deliver the Lord’s Prayer on behalf of the Ministers Fraternal.

Retired British Army 37-year veteran Colonel Mark Auchinleck will deliver the Remembrance Day address before dignitaries and community members are invited to lay wreaths and poppies at the memorial.
A minute’s silence will be observed at 11am (on the 11th day of the 11th month) in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts. Drew Bates will lead the National Anthem before the ceremony concludes at 11.05am.
