“I’ve been overwhelmed with the response,” Chloe said.
“It’s been so positive and supportive. The phone hasn’t stopped ringing.”
She’s fielding so many inquiries for class spots that she’s looking to expand the number of classes next year from the current 13 per week to around 18, also branching out into drama and musical theatre. Chloe is aiming to collaborate with a local circus skills trainer and singing teachers with a vision to build a community-based performing arts academy.
There will also be boot camps for children and adults alike, and yoga classes.
Sapphire Daly stepped up to help Chloe with the concert organisation and will stay on to assist with the expanded program, and Chloe said she’s very grateful for that assistance.
Over the Christmas school holidays there will be a summer program of one-day (for juniors) and three-day (for older students) ‘tasters’ to allow kids to try out a variety of dance styles.
Enrolments for next year’s courses opens December 1. Chloe can be contacted on 0458 935 635 or livedreamdance@outlook.com for more information.
The studio is aiming to have competitors in next year’s Federation Eisteddfod and in Stanthorpe’s Border District Eisteddfod, but Chloe said this is about the extent of the competitive aspect of the activity.
“It’s more about self-esteem, team-building and fun,” she said.
“So many of the students start off shy but come out of themselves on stage. Parents are thanking me for bringing out that confidence.”
The studio is seeking larger premises that can be dedicated to its use. The main pavilion at the showground is shaping up as a contender, with the studio just needing to move out for show-related functions.
If you missed the concert, Live Dream Dance will also be performing at the Christmas Carnival in Jubilee Park on Thursday, December 6.
