It has been a very busy and fruitful time for Legacy in Tenterfield of late.
Its best-ever Charity Golf Day – thanks to major sponsor Graham Rossington of Sexton & Green – coincided this year with Remembrance Day, and Fishing & Restockers once again made their annual substantial donation.
The widows were then in great form at their Christmas Party held at the Tenterfield Golf Club on November 28. There were 15 widows in attendance, all looking particularly smart, plus carers and special guests.
President John Munro made a respectful speech expressing the gratitude that we all owe the widows and their deceased partners. He also presented Mrs Effie Catley with a certificate in honour of her 90th birthday.
It was a wonderful afternoon, full of memories and true Christmas spirit.
