In the wrap-up of Tenterfield Care Committee’s inaugural Black Tie Dinner at the end of last year, a massive $32,667 has been raised for the community’s essential aged care facility Haddington which is managed by the committee along with Millrace Aged Care Hostel.
“This is a great result in fundraising towards the proposed 28 bed extension at Haddington,” chairman Greg Sauer said.
With the huge expansion project ahead of the committee, seats on the board were confirmed at the recent annual general meeting.
After 20 years of volunteering his time and service to the TCC board, Bob South has decided to not seek re-election. Chairman Greg Sauer thanked Bob for his dedicated service to TCC at the AGM, and wished him well. A presentation was made on behalf of the board and members in recognition of that service.
Also at the AGM, current board members Rhonda Rovera and Carol Schiffman completed their latest two-year terms and under the Constitution were required to be re-elected. Max Whitford and Sylvia Grigg had been appointed to fill casual vacancies during the year and under the Constitution were also required to face election by the members present.
All four were successful in being re-elected.
The positions of chairman, vice chairman, secretary and treasurer for 2019 were determined by the board members at a later meeting just prior to Christmas.
Greg Sauer retains the position as chairman. His deputy chair is Rhonda Rivera, secretary is Beth Moore and treasurer is Alan Donges.
