Leyla Campbell and Steph Kennedy will contest the competition, each with some experience under their belts.
Leyla has risen up through the younger Miss Showgirl ranks, winning Junior Miss Showgirl last year.
Steph was runner-up in 2015 and always planned to take another tilt at the crown, having enjoyed her initial experience.
Leyla Campbell
Leyla completed Year 12 in 2018, at Tenterfield High School, and is now enrolled in a Bachelor of Education (Secondary Science) at the University of New England. She works at popular Tenterfield eaterie The Corner Life & Style, Store and Cafe.
Leyla enjoys camping, social opportunities, family gatherings, and team sport specifically basketball. She’s one to tackle any opportunity with 100 per cent effort.
Leyla looks forward to the Showgirl opportunity as a chance to promote Tenterfield, its beautiful locations and the beautiful people within this town.
Stephanie Kennedy
Steph is currently employed by Harold Curry Stock, Station & Real Estate Agents. She has completed her Certificate II in Business Services and Certificate III in Accounts Administration through external studies.
Steph enjoys her time outdoors, meeting new people, motorbike riding and four wheel driving and most importantly spending time with family.
Steph would like to have the opportunity to be a young ambassador for the local New England Area and promote benefits of living in a close knit rural community.
Miss Showgirl coordinator Keely Mooney said the Tenterfield Show Society is very excited to see both Showgirls be a part of the 2019 Show.
They will be formally presented at the show dinner on Saturday, February 2 to be held this year at the Best Western Henry Parkes restaurant (otherwise known as the Pink Place) from 6pm.
