Tenterfield swimmers dive in at carnival

On Sunday, February 3 twelve Tenterfield Swim Club swimmers participated in the annual Stanthorpe Swimming Carnival.  There were 240 swimmers at the carnival. For seven of our young swimmers, it was their first inter-club carnival.

Under 7 swimmers Pippa Koch, Louis Wait, Blair Parker, Jack Ebbern and Digby Hennessy weren’t daunted by the occasion and all swam great 25m races receiving a participation medal at the end of the carnival for their efforts.

Reagan Sharpe, Matilda Ebbern, Annie Ebbern, Phoebee Lyons, Phillipa Lyons and Amelia Wishart posted some massive PBs at the event and the strong competition at Stanthorpe will assist greatly with their preparation for upcoming school and regional carnivals.

Amelia Wishart won a bronze medal in the girls over 13 years 100m butterfly, taking almost 11 seconds off her PB for the event.

Congratulations to all of our amazing swimmers.
