The Junior Competition will not run on Monday, March 4, but players still have March 11 and 18 of March for the weekly competition and all players will play at the grand final on Friday, 23 March 23.
B grade competition: The B grade competition is focused on the social level, to encourage players to participate and join the club.
It has been great to see so many teenagers, organise and manage teams within the competition.
This is what the club was really focusing on getting out of the competition was to encourage youth to step up, and encourage the next generation of players and committee members.
The B grade competition is led by Inappropriate Touching and is closely followed by The Cunning Stunts.
The B grade competition will end on Wednesday, February 27.
There is a possibility of hosting a B grade game at the grand final on March 23.
B Grade Awards will be presented at the grand final so all players are still expected to attend to enjoy, games, bbq, canteen and the presentation.
A grade competition: The A grade competition will complete its round games on March 4 followed by semi-finals on March 11, finals on March 18 and the grand final and presentation held on March 23.
The competition ladder includes: Untouchables (38), Eliminators (31), Rebels (28), Mooney’s Windscreens (24) and Telegraph Hotel (17).
Northern Eagles Country Championships: Bonnie Zappa participated in the Northern Eagles Country Championships held in Taree on January 19 and 20. Bonnie played for the Ballina under 14s Team.
Regional Carnival: Sunday, February 3 Keven Mooney, coached the 18s boys team, to compete in Ballina against, Kyogle, Ballina A and B Side.
The team consisted of Tyler Sergeant, Chaney Rhodes, Campbell Saccon, Wade Kirby, Kynan Koch, Aidan Paynter, Aymon Rhodes, Bede Acquillini, Wes Smith, Freddy Gillon and Fraser Saccon.
Bonnie Zappa also played in the Ballina un14s Girls Team. Thanks Keely Mooney for refereeing.
Junior State Cup: Junior State Cup was held from February 15 to 17 at Port Macquarie.
Tenterfield Touch Football is extremely proud of all players who participated at this Carnival.
Armidale 18s consisted of JJ Cusack and Bede Acquilini. JJ was forced to keep up the speed of the oppositions playing a link/centre position. JJ scored a run away try in the stadium.
Bede played almost full games every game on the wing, he was staying alive to catch all the balls and make his way to the try line several times.
Bonnie Zappa played in the Ballina 14 Girls team, Bonnie received players' player for her team, and also gained selected in the Northern NSW Eagles Squad.
Bonnie will head to the final selected on the weekend held in Macksville.
Taj Cusack played some very tough games with the Armidale 14 boys, he stayed on longer to benefit his team, as he was able to keep up with the speed of the game because of his fitness. Jim Brown, let his speed shine in several of his games with the Armidale 12 boys.
Jim played a centre position and was starting majority of the games.
Will and Brock Brown were Tenterfield youngest players to participate in JSC, the way the boys played in defence, was extremely strong, and in a few years’ time you can see their potential will take them further within the game.
Thank you to Keven Mooney for supporting the kids at State Cup, the parents for travelling to training sessions and the competition and also Keely Mooney who completed her level 2 referees course at the competition.
Keely went along to referee to give our local kids the opportunity to participate at this carnival.
