Sixteen swimmers from Tenterfield High School ventured down for the annual event with some impressive results across the board.
There were some massive personal bests earned on the day by many of the team.
There were also a number of swimmers who placed fourth and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the North West team to take on the state's best at the next level.
Eleven of the Tenterfield High School swimmers will be representing the North West team at the coming Combined High Schools state titles at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre from April 8 to 10.
Talen Kelly – 17 to 19 years 100 metre breaststroke and will participate in the breaststroke leg of the open medley relay.
Jack Giddy – 12 years 100m butterfly, the 12 years 100m freestyle, 12 years 100m backstroke, the12 years 50m freestyle and will be the first swimmer in the boys 14 years 200m freestyle relay.
Nikkala Hillier – 15 years 100m breaststroke and will be the second swimmer in the 15 years 200m freestyle relay
Isaac Jones – 16 years 100m butterfly and the butterfly leg of the open medley relay
Jackson O’Neill – 14 years 100m breaststroke and will be the second swimmer in the 14 years 200m freestyle relay
Fletcher Koch – 14 years 100m butterfly and will be the third swimmer in the 14 years 200m freestyle relay and will swim the freestyle leg of the open medley relay
Ella Wishart – 17 to 19yrs 100m butterfly, 17 to 19 years 100m backstroke, 17 to 19 years 200m Individual Medle and the 17 to 19 years 50m freestyle
Bree McCowen – will race as the first swimmer in the 15 years 200m freestyle relay
Allie Hill – qualified as the third swimmer for the 15 years 200m freestyle relay
Lani Spiller – will race as the fourth swimmer in the 15 years 200m freestyle relay
Xavier Cusack – qualified for the backstroke leg of the open medley relay and will be the fourth swimmer in the 14 years 200m freestyle relay

The primary schools version of the North West carnival was held on Monday, March 4 with Tenterfield students experiencing great results.
The Sir Henry Parkes Memorial Public School had two students qualify to represent North West in Sydney on April 11 to 12. Elly earned a start in the 50m freestyle event and 50m backstroke in senior girls.
Zoe qualified for the 50m freestyle in junior girls.
