As the football season gears up what better time for a quick health check, and a visiting band of Psychs on Bikes are making that free and easy for local gentlemen. It's not just for players but also spectators and in fact any man in the community.
Psychs on Bikes is an organisation of mental health professionals riding motorbikes to raise awareness of mental health issues in rural and remote communities. Their desire to reduce the burden of mental illness in rural Australia is matched by their passion to ride motorbikes.

They're passing through town on Tuesday and the Tigers Rugby League Club have teamed up with The Hub to set up an ideal venue to capture as many blokes in the one place as possible. Training for the juniors will just be wrapping up as the clinic opens, so The Hub's Deborah Lions is hoping as many dads as possible will swing by for a quick checkup, and demonstrate some important self-care to their sons.
Then of course the seniors' training starts at 6.30pm, but not before players, trainers and supporters have their own checkup.
The Psychs on Bikes team will be measuring blood sugar levels, blood pressure and other basic health checks, and if anyone is struggling with poor mental health this is an ideal time to speak up to an outsider whose specialty is mental health in rural communities.
Many men are daunted by the check on their physical let alone mental health, but drought and fire on top of the stresses of everyday living are enough to have a negative impact on anyone's mental health, and this is an ideal opportunity to get advice on coping mechanisms.
The players may start training not only with a clean bill of health but possibly weighed down by a sausage sanga or two, as the Rotary Club is putting on a barbecue.
It's all happening at Rugby League Park from 5pm, and all men are welcome.
