On Tuesday and Wednesday around 250 students from schools around the Tenterfield region, including Tenterfield High School, the Sir Henry Parkes Memorial Public School, Drake Public School and St Joseph's Tenterfield participated in a selection of fun cricket activities run by Willemse, schools participation officer Nathan Lyon and club officer Steve Meakins.
The students were given the opportunity to have a go at bowling; batting and catching drills.
There was also a fun 'bounce the ball on the bat' team relay and activities to both engage students and develop their game skills.
The relaxed environment encouraged students to participate and enjoy the experience.
Feedback from both days was positive, with the majority of students enjoying the event.
Students can look forward to another Cricket NSW visit to Tenterfield in Term 3.
