The Woodenbong Yowie will attend the Seasonal 'Yowie Country' Market on Saturday May 25 to buy some winter essentials. The theme for this market is to come along and "dress up your beanie" or winter hat at the craft table or purchase winter items from the variety offered.

Held at Woodenbong Public Hall from 8am to 2pm you can meet Gwen Deem who is well known for her fundraising for the Fred Hollows Foundation. Gwen will be offering a wide range of hand knitted winter clothing items to get you ready for the season ahead and will have some giveaways and treats.

The Yowie is aware that there is a great range of items on the stalls including fishing lures, leatherwork, jewellery, handmade soap, crystals and gemstones, lavender items and much more. Plenty of variety to choose from and while there you can grab an espresso coffee and a bite to eat while enjoying the live music while the kids play on the playground on-site.

The markets are on the last Saturday of the month at the end of each season in February, May, August, and November. Insured stall sites are available for $15. Direct inquiries to Marian on 0487 635 558 or for more information go to www.woodenbong.org.
