It's not long now until this year's Rotary Trivia Night -- on at the Tenterfield Golf Club this Saturday night, May 25 from 7.15pm -- revs up again with an eclectic mix of brain teasers.
Quizmaster John Tapscott will again be setting the questions to test all corners of the brains in the teams, which is why it's always good to have an assortment of generations and interests around the table.
Bookings of tables (of six to 10 people) can be made by calling Karen or Helen at Tenterfield Insurance Agencies on (02) 6736 2426, but the sooner the better. Walk-ups on the night are accepted, but there's a maximum of 30 tables and the earlier you book the nearer the front you will be.
The cost is $7 per person and there are always great raffles to win. (Your correspondent won last year's wheelbarrow hamper, and there was lots of valuable gardening stuff included).
Even if your team's a dud in the questions (no looking up answers on smartphones, please), there are more games and table prizes so everyone's in with a chance.
It's a fun night so make a party of it. Lots of teams bring along supper to share around their table, or platters can be ordered through the kitchen. Of course the bar will be operating.
Rotary donates all proceeds to the Tenterfield High School's Youth Driver Awareness programmes, so it's a great cause.
