A sunny spot on the forecourt at the Tenterfield Railway Station was the way to herald in winter, with regulars and visitors turning out to see what was on offer.

By Sunday the weather had turned wet, but no-one was complaining about the long-awaited rain and some braved the inclement conditions. While outdoor stalls were sparse, stallholders and shoppers alike were cosy under the awning (the Queensland version, that is) on the platform, and it was warm and cosy inside the Railway Cafe.
Coincidentally the Wallangarra markets were the destination for a run of the New England Veteran and Vintage Car Club, and the hub of the June outing of the Border Country Trail Riders who returned to the cafe for lunch.
