The Tenterfield girls were defeated 36-12 by the undefeated Uralla team but can guarantee themselves fourth spot on the table if they beat Warialda at home for round 14 this Saturday.
The Tigers sit in fourth after round 13 but Bingara are hot on their heels in fifth.
If they lose to the Wombats and the Bullets team beat Bundarra, the Tigers team will miss out on a spot in the finals with a lower for and against.
The Tigers will celebrate their Old Boys' Day with the league tag beginning at 1pm and president Brendan Minns is hoping a huge crowd turns up to cheer the girls home.
"I would love to see the girls complete their season off with a win and that will cement them in that fourth spot," he said.
"We wish our girls luck for our last game and hopefully they can finish the regular season on a good note and play finals this year.
"We are looking forward to the Old Boys' Day and we hope all past players can come along and have a great day at the football."
The Tigers men are out of contention for a semi-final spot but ensured they would go down fighting with a 40-8 thrashing of Uralla on Saturday.
Tenterfield welcomed back a host of players from injury and other commitments and player-coach Jake Kelly said it was a huge boost.
"It is a bit late to be getting too excited but it was good to win," he said.
"It probably helped having a couple of players back, Josh [Lucas] and Jarrod [McIntosh] make a fair difference to our side.
"Everyone played well, everyone did their jobs and it makes it easy when everyone is doing that.
"Makes it easy when everyone is contributing.
"It was an opposite game compared to when we played Uralla last time."
The Tigers' 2019 season could be marked down as a case of what could have been but Kelly isn't reading too much into it.

"It is what it is but, can't really sit around and mope about it," he said.
"It definitely would have been a better season if we had a few of those players earlier on in the year.
"We will pick up another couple of players again this weekend that were away so we should have a decent side against Warialda and hopefully we can be competitive with them."
The Wombats are undefeated this season and are guaranteed the minor premiership as well as hosting the major semi-final.
The two clubs haven't faced each other this year with the Tenterfield men forfeiting the last scheduled fixture.
Kelly has a pretty clear message of what he wants from his team this Saturday.
"Just to be competitive and try and win the game," he said.
"If not, [I hope] everyone gives 100 per cent and come off the field knowing that we have.
"They [Warialda] are pretty good team.
"It will be good to hopefully finish the year positively.
"Hope everyone gets up there and supports the girls too because they should be playing finals this year."
