As part of its Emergency Water Security Augmentation Project, Tenterfield Shire Council is seeking any knowledge of unregistered bores and wells around town so that in its efforts to supplement the town water supply with a new bore or two it doesn't disrupt existing supply to landowners.

A virtual drilling exercise has been undertaken to narrow the search for potential water bore sites, but information on these existing setups is part of the process to determine the best location.
