Dozens of players from Warwick, Inverell and Glen Inness battled it out in sometimes dusty conditions with the best from Tenterfield - children from under six to 11 years of age - competing for honours and that participation ribbon.
Association President, Candice Potter, said it was a great day out for the young soccer enthusiasts.
"It's always great for the Tenterfield players to take on the juniors from surrounding towns, to see how they fare against them and to have a bit of fun as well.
"With the drought continuing in all four towns and cities, the carnival was a way of forgetting about the hardship for a little while - especially for those kids who are off the land", Ms Potter said.
Shirley Park was a sea of colourful uniforms on Sunday with marquees galore. Our Place (OP) was on hand to sell coffee for the parents and supporters and the Lions Club was also on board with donuts and chips - all in addition to the canteen run by the parents and volunteers. Ms Julia Farina, Area Manager for Northern Inland Football, was also in town and offered her support.
The Association said the success of the carnival will ensure it will be back again in 2020.
