Mayor Peter Petty confirmed that council is coordinating with Blazeaid organisers to bring the volunteers back to town, again operating out of the Tenterfield Showground.
The system will operate in a similar manner to last time, with council coordinating rosters of community groups to help with catering and Blazeaid coordinating volunteers and requests for help.
BlazeAid's Kevin Butler has already put out the call for seven drivers (with 4WD and 3-tonne towing capacity) to tow the Combat Ready fencing trailers from Inverell back to the showgrounds, along with the group's 20-foot workshop shipping container. He can be contacted on 0418 530 471.
Volunteers and property owners needing assistance should call BlazeAid coordinator John Lillico on 0484 145 732 or register online at tenterfield.blazeaid@gmail.com.
