The Royals will host a 50-year reunion to reflect on triumphs and trials in the club's history.
The club came about on a Saturday afternoon at the Royal Hotel the Late Harold Mathinson said, "you young fellows should put a cricket team together and to get you started I will give you the Steinbrook cricket bag".
So back in 1969 we took up the offer and off we went for our first match with cooler by our side and dressed in colours that caught Kerry Packer's eyes.
On October 5 and 6, the club will host their 50 year reunion.
Beginning on the Saturday night, there will be a meet and greet at the Tenterfield Bowling Club.
The events will begin at 4pm and then there will be a dinner afterwards from 6.30pm.
The cost of the dinner is $27.50 per person.
Live music from local band Fugarwie 8pm.
On the Sunday, the reunion attendees are set to gather at Shirley Park from 11am and there will be a sausage sizzle lunch.
