The program builds the skills of our younger cricketers with fun, game based activities, but also caters to older children who would like hone their skills and play a short form of the game.
Registrations are now open at playcricket.com.au - search for Tenterfield and register in the Junior Blaster program.
Registration is $100 (which is effectively covered by the second 2019 Active Kids Voucher) and each participant receives an awesome kit including a bat, ball, shirt and hat!
The program will start on Friday, October 25 (week 2 of term 4) and run from 5 to 7pm.
There's music and a canteen.
Last year's Junior Cricket was a really fun, social evening for both children and parents.
We hope to see those smiling faces again this year.
If registration numbers permit, this season will also see the reintroduction of junior hard ball cricket for the first time in some ten years.
Strong numbers of these more experienced players will hopefully lead to junior interclub competition within the southern Queensland/northern NSW region.
Junior hard ball cricket will be held on Saturday mornings commencing October 26.
The registration process is exactly the same as Junior Blaster program, with Junior Club Cricket being the option selected.
Any parents or High School students who would be interested in being involved in facilitating Junior Blaster cricket, please contact Anne Palfreyman on 0498175275.
