It raised $4000, with donations - double what he'd hoped for.
"The street stall was very, very successful, and made people aware of what's going on, I think," he said.

The stall sold home-baked goods from 8am onward.
A raffle for a two-tonne load of firewood will be drawn at the railway markets on Saturday.
The money will go towards buying material for fencing, star pickets, barbed wire, and plain wire.
"Rotary are supporting [BlazeAid] by getting materials to help some of the properties that find it hard to come up with the funds to buy the material," Mr Chittick said. "Their labour's for nothing, but they still have to get materials somehow."
Tenterfield Rotary has already donated $3000 to BlazeAid for locally-purchased fencing wire and pickets on properties affected by last month's fires.
"There's a fair few fences that would have been burnt out [in the weekend's fire]," he said.
"BlazeAid is made up of volunteers, just like us, trying to make a difference," he said. "People donate their time, and their expenses get covered."
Friday's street stall was also an opportunity for those living out of town with empty rainwater tanks to get information on Rotary's ongoing project to deliver potable water to these struggling households.
The project was funded by other Rotary clubs and individuals, and the proceeds from local Rotary events.
Mr Chittick said last month that around 30 deliveries had already been made, primarily around Mingoola and Torrington, but the club may be able to help anyone within the shire.
