Firies were called away during their fundraising art auction to fight yet another fire.

The recent Fundraising 4 Firies art auction in Tenterfield was a resounding success, with in excess of $14000 raised in cash donations and monies from the art action items.

The artist community of Tenterfield was also given a boost with locals, visitors to town, internet and phone bidding making for a fun and beneficial event.

During the evening the firies in attendance were called away to fight more fires, at the border.

All money raised will be spent on wish list items of equipment supplied by seven of the surrounding RFS bases chosen as the beneficiaries of this auction night.

Organisers thank all the people who supported the RFS by generously contributing to the event.

A final wrap up and presentation is to be held this Friday, December 13 at 5.30pm at Our Place Wine and Espresso Bar.
