Categories this year are: Stylish Couple, Contemporary Racewear - Female, Most Stylish Gent , Most Elegant Lady and Junior Race Goer.
"In appreciation of the enormous effort that race attendees make and the difficult decision it presents to our judges we offer first, second and third prize in each category," said Lindy.
"Most stylish Couple is our biggest prize winner with first prize being $500, second prize $400 and third prize $300. The couple may be paired in the same or different age brackets."
This year the Most Stylish Gent category is a special memorial to David Townes. The Fashions on the Field is held after the last race in the gap before the band commences.
"This works well for us as it is held on the actual race track in front of the lovely heritage grandstand that provides an excellent viewing position," said Lindy.
"This year our judge is seeking outfits that express your own individual sense of style and attitude."
"A balance of colour and design with a focus on clever co-ordination is desirable that reflects originality and confidence. In the stylish couples section we seek complementary styling showing personality and balance. In all categories attention to detail will be appraised for accessories, shoes, bags and millinery. Elements of the outfit should reflect current trends without losing the contestant's personal flair."
