"Every day of the year our emergency services and volunteer firefighters stand up to be counted when they are needed," organiser Kevin Condrick said.
"Never more has that been necessary as of the past seven months, with these bushfires.
"So to give the residents of Tenterfield and district the chance to say thank you, the Tenterfield Bowling Club is inviting everyone to join them at the Bowling Club for a social bowls day."

Anyone interested in trying their hand at bowls is invited to put a team of two together, and the club will add a regular bowler to the team to show you what to do. You can play in flat shoes or bare feet. If you don't have bowls the club can provide these.
Work colleagues, neighbours, family and friends are encouraged to pair up and complete an entry form, which is available at the clubhouse.
The club is also inviting Rural Fire Brigades to put together a team or two or even more, to participate in a day that will see all proceeds divided up to between brigades from Wallangarra to Deepwater.
"We know that the brigades do have wish lists of items they want for their trucks, so here is a good chance to raise funds and let the public say thank you to you all," Mr Condrick said.
The Tenterfield Bowling Club is donating $3000 to the cause and invites others to donate if they wish.
Games will start at 9am for the early birds, or you may opt to play at 1pm. Presentations will commence at around 4.30pm.
Non-players are invited to watch the action and to stay on for the presentation as all the emergency services workers are gathered together for a big thank you.
"We cordially invite all those wonderful kind people that helped during bushfires with cooking, making sandwiches, packing lunches and cold water etc. for our brave fire fighters and helicopter operators to join us," Mr Condrick said.
"You all did a wonderful and thankful job.
"So put this date in your diary, March 14th, get a team together from your work place or club etc. and get along and make this a great day. There will be different competitions run during the day for bowlers and also a raffle, with more details on this at a later date.
"See you there."
