The trips see a coach-load of people travel to rural communities and stay overnight, helping bring an economic injection to the bush and create awareness among city-folk.
Organiser, Anne-Marie Best said the purpose of the trips were three fold. "To raise awareness of the continuing drought and enable city folk to experience just how bad it really is; support rural communities' economies by injecting funds; and to show support and let our country cousins know that we care," she said.
"Past trips have seen us visit many rural communities with a whopping total of $83,642.00 generated," Ms Best said.
"Of that $51,218.50 has been injected directly into the communities we've visited and $32,423.50 given to struggling farming families via Need for Feed Disaster Relief, Aussie Helpers, Drought Angels Rural Aid and the Country Women's Association."

To book a seat on the bus each person must donate at least $100 directly to Need for Feed and then email their receipt to 'We Care'.
"I don't handle any of the cash; it all goes directly to the Lions' Need for Feed disaster relief. They are 100 per cent run by volunteers, meaning there is no administration fees and people can be assured every cent makes it to the communities."
The trip will be the fourth one organised by Ms Best.
"We live on five acres near Newcastle and one of my friends who has horses was telling us how hard it was to source feed and how expensive it had become with the drought.
"It started by saying we should jump in the car and head west, and make a weekend of it. And by the second bottle of wine it was a coach," Ms Best laughed.
"Once I set my mind to something I don't give up.
"I contacted everyone looking for someone to donate the fuel for the coach and a driver and I had almost given up when a gentleman from the Hunter Valley contacted me. He did the first two tours for us which travelled to Coonabarabran and Moree. Then we had It's Easy Tours come on board for the next trip and they will also run the upcoming NSW tour."
The coach will be leaving Newcastle and heading to Tenterfield for an overnight stay on Saturday night, travelling via Gloucester, Armidale and returning via Glen Innes and Walcha.
"We've got a cool group of people who have come on every trip. It's a bus full of like-minded people and it's a really lovely way to meet people. Some have made long-term friends on these trips.
"This NSW trip sold out in less than three weeks. I was flabbergasted. It shows that people really enjoy getting out to these rural communities and supporting those who are doing it tough.
"I know a lot of the areas have had rain now and it's looking greener but we understand it's going to take a long time to recover.
"On our last trip in September there weren't even any weeds, it was just dust. People were shocked; it was a real eye-opener."
An inaugural Queensland trip leaves Brisbane on March 28, travelling to Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles and Goondiwindi before returning to Brisbane via Warwick.
