During the COVID-19 lockdown our club has been unable to conduct our monthly meeting and rally runs because of difficulties with social distancing.

However now that travel within the state is allowed members can use their cars for outings following the necessary logbook requirements of course.

A number of our Holden owning members were able to attend the farewell to the Holden marque held at Sexton and Greens with their cars.

Anyone with inquiries re-club matters please contact President Steve on 673628720 or secretary David on 6736 2563.

Car of the month

Model: 1968 MGB

Owners: John and Sheree Thrift

History: Sheree bought this car in 1984 from a lady in Lismore who was only selling it because she couldn't fit her new baby in the back.

Ron Williams restored the car back in 1985, changing it from its original blue to a fiery red. Sheree acquired new wire wheels at the time but still has the original wheels and seats in storage.

In the 36 years since the original purchase Sheree married John and they now have two adult children of their own.( I don't know how she fitted them in the back!!)

The car has always been on full registration until two years ago it was put on club plates. There are no plans to sell this car any time soon!
