The fire last September left a lot of nothing. With the trees and ground cover gone, the flooding rain in November and clearing work for bore access all contributed to a loss of ground cover and subsequent erosion.
This grant allowed the club to do things that would have taken a few years of fundraising efforts.
A levy bank directing flood waters away from the practice range was organised.
Some replacement 3D and vinyl targets, new signage for the perimeter of club grounds, decking oils and last but not least a celebration for club members that the club is up and running again.
Tenterfield Archers would like to acknowledge Tenterfield Council for awarded this grant funding which was very well received.
Again the National Muster has been cancelled due to COVID-19 but on Sunday, more than 20 archery club members had a fun shoot, taking aim at target bugs.
A great turn out of members made for a very relaxing fun day.
If you are interested and would like to find out more information there is always someone at the Dam Lane club grounds, Saturdays between 2pm-4pm.
