At our well-attended meeting on the 4th, 40 members were present plus two latecomers who forgot to move their clocks forward.
Vice president Steve Ost conducted the meeting in the absence of President Steve Thomas.
We welcomed new prospective members John and Annie Broome and their very rare 1952 model Vauxhall Vagabond Tourer.
Secretary David reported he was able to secure a much better insurance cover for us and treasurer Francis informed us that membership fees of $40 are due before our AGM on November 1.
Our September run was curtailed because of very cold conditions but some members were able to enjoy a run in beautiful weather to Harrington Lane area for our October run.
Inquiries please contact President Steve on 6736 2862 or secretary David on 6736 2563.
Car of the month
Model:1964 EH Holden station wagon
Owner: Brent Schofield
History: This car was originally purchased by Mick Cooper for use as a hearse. When it finished these duties, he changed it from black to white and used it for a daily driver.
An unusual feature is the big gap in the front seat to allow a coffin to fit in!
Brent bought the car in 2005 and it still has only 46,000 miles on the clock. This averages out at less than 1000 miles a year. What a good buy, Brent!
