Now they are encouraging new members to come and join in.
The band's president Murray Hovey said they will be performing at several outdoor venues between now and Christmas.
"Our first performance since the Apple & Grape Festival in March this year, was for the 'Beat of the Bush' in Tenterfield. You can see us next on Saturday at 2pm for the Art Trail in Amiens," Mr Hovey said.
He said the group was a community oriented band which entertained in the wider community from Warwick to Tenterfield.
Along with the Apple & Grape Festival, events they have performed at include Warwick Rodeo, Australia Day, the Peter Allan Festival and Christmas events.
"The Granite Belt Community Band are a happy bunch of people from Warwick, Stanthorpe and Tenterfield, who enjoy making music together as much as spreading happiness and instilling a good mood with the music," My Hovey said.
"The band welcomes new members - it doesn't matter what level of musician you are, from beginner to experienced, young and not so young."
The band rehearses at the Presbyterian Hall, 14 Leslie Parade in Stanthorpe every Wednesday night commencing at 6pm (Queensland time).
Mr Hovey said the band has been assisted by grants from the Southern Downs Regional Council which enabled them to purchase two new instruments - a cornet and a flugel horn.
"The Granite Belt Community Band aims to offer a musical experience to everyone no matter what their socio-economic status. This goal has been enhanced by the purchase of instruments. This will continue to expand the music that the community and the players enjoy.
"The added benefit is to improve the mental health of those who engage in music, either through listening or playing. This is especially important during these rough times of ongoing drought, bushfires and COVID-19 that have devastated our communities."
He said the band follows any new regulations stipulated by the state and federal governments.
