To allow for a piling rig to be moved, the New England Highway will be closed in both directions for up to 30 minutes from 8pm on Friday.
The piling rig is required to complete work on the northern bridge abutment.
The existing single lane arrangement, controlled by traffic lights and a reduced speed limit, will remain in place for the safety of motorists and workers both during and after the closure.
Road users can expect the usual delays of up to 10 minutes outside of the 30-minute closure.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks road users for their patience during this time.
