In fact the Bureau of Meteorology reports that Tenterfield has just experienced the lowest November rainfall on record. At 6.1mm it was seven per cent of the monthly average of 83.9mm.

Compared to Tenterfield Glen Innes was relatively damp with 19.6mm of rainfall, but this also goes down as its lowest-ever November rainfall, against its 114.8mm November average.
Rainfall was generally below average across NSW in November. For the state as a whole, November rainfall was 54 per cent below average, making it the driest November since 2002.
Perversely a rainfall event in the state's South Coast on November 1 broke records in a positive way for places like Ulladulla which set a new November record of 210.4mm.
Temperature-wise both daytime and night-time temperatures were very much above average across most of the state.
For the state as a whole the November mean temperature was 3.15 degrees above average, the fifth warmest November on record and the warmest since 2014.
After a cool start to November, mild to warm settled conditions persisted for much of the month.
Tenterfield's average for the month was 27.2 degrees, 2.3 degrees above average. It peaked at 34.2 degrees last Sunday, November 29.
It may not seem it but the minimums for the month were just below average at 10.5 degrees. The lowest was recorded on November 6 at 10.5 degrees.
November ended with much of the state experiencing severe heatwave conditions, which continue.
The BOM said a heat trough over central Australia combined with two frontal systems brought dangerously hot and windy conditions to much of NSW at the end of November.
Severe to extreme heatwave conditions occurred in west and north-east of the state, extending to the Sydney region, on the 28th and 29th.
On the 28th many sites had their highest November temperature on record. Smithville reported 46.9 degrees, the highest November temperature ever recorded in NSW.
